The Guardian Building
Detroit Skyline from Mies' Residential Tower
This is the view looking out the window of Mies van der Rohe's high rise residential tower in Detroit.
The buildings seem like they no longer reflect the same settlement patterns that originally put them there.
So what has slowed the city's growth since the 1930s? The plus side is that there are many fine Art Deco buildings still in the city, like the Guardian Building.
